2012 Keynote Speaker- Ms. Nicholy Toldson Johnson​

​Nicholy Toldson Johnson, granddaughter of the late Reverend and Mrs. Scott, has been actively involved in the John H. Scott Memorial Fund since childhood.  She graduated from High School in 1987 from Southern University Laboratory High School. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education in 1991 from Southern University A & M College. She went on to earn her Master of Arts degree in Elementary Education in 1996 from Southern University A & M College, where she graduated summa cum laude. Ms. Johnson taught kindergarten for seven years at University Terrace Elementary. She is currently working as an education consultant at the Louisiana Department of Education in the Early Childhood Programs Section. As an education consultant, Ms. Johnson evaluates public school prekindergarten programs and conducts trainings for preschool teachers and administrators on various topics pertinent to early childhood education.

Ms. Johnson attends Bethany World Prayer Center where she is a bible study group leader. Her professional passion is to help improve the quality of Louisiana’s early childhood programs, and her spiritual passion is helping others to discover their purpose and identity in Christ.
