Alease J. Scott Memorial Award
Awards to honor, encourage, and inspire...
The Alease J. Scott Memorial Award honors a person who promotes community improvement and pride mainly through work in organizations. This award is intended to honor, inspire, and encourage the often unsung heroes who work diligently to make a difference. The award is $500.
This award is given in honor of Alease Juanita Scott who was the wife of Rev. Scott. In addition to providing assistance to her husband, she was an activist in her own right. She provided leadership and loyal fellowship in many service groups including the Women’s Auxiliary of the Baptist Association, Ministers’ Wives Alliance, Sister Workers, Sunday School and BTU Congress and many others.
