The late Reverend Scott was a minister who resided in East Carroll Parish until his death in 1980. He believed that people should stand up for their human and civil rights and for those of their fellow man. He believed that people should resist and never be satisfied with unfair treatment. In an essay of 1-2 typewritten pages (double-spaced, 12pt. font), tell why you would like to be awarded a scholarship that memorializes the life of this Christian activist.
Reverend John H. Scott was a human and civil rights activist that spearheaded the movement for voter rights in East Carroll Parish in the 1960s and remained a community leader until his death in 1980. In a short 3-4 minute video, explain how if given the John H. Scott Memorial Fund Scholarship, you would honor and continue his legacy.
