Meet Our Scholars

Calvin Thompson (2023 1st Place Recipient)

Our freshman JHS Scholar, Calvin Thompson III, of Lake Providence, LA, who was the Fund's first place scholarship recipient this year. He is settling in at LSU where he plans to obtain a Computer Science degree.

Terrion Scott (2023 2nd Place Recipient)

Terrion is a freshman at Grambling State University with a major in Cyber Security.

Darrell Jones (20xx Recipient)

Maryanne Haley (2022 Recipient)

Maryanne is a sophomore at the University of Louisiana at Monroe. She is a Pre-Speech Language Pathology major with plans to become a member of the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association.

Madison Smith (2021 Recipient)

Madison is currently a junior at Southern University in Baton Rouge, La. She is interested in pursuing a career in wildlife and fisheries game warden roles. Additionally, she would like to explore positions within the USDA, particularly with the APHIS Agency or the rural development agency.

TaNoah Hampton (20xx Recipient)

TaNoah is a Senior Music Education major at Alcorn State University. She plans to teach music as well as attend audio engineering school after graduating.

Destiny is a Senior at Southern University in Baton Rouge where she will be graduating in December 2023 after just three and a half years. Upon graduation, Destiny plans to further her education at Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia.
