  •  The Alease J. Scott Memorial Award

Alease Juanita Scott was the wife of Rev. Scott.  In addition to providing assistance to her husband, she was an activist in her own right.  She provided leadership and loyal fellowship in many service groups including the Women’s auxiliary of the Baptist Association, Ministers’ Wives Alliance, Sister Workers, Sunday School and BTU Congress and many others.  This award honors her life by being offered to a person who promotes community improvement and pride mainly through work in organizations. The total award is $300.
  •  The Angela Adjoa Toldson Memorial Award

Angela Adjoa Toldson was a granddaughter of Rev. and Mrs. Scott who was stricken with a rare form of epilepsy at the age of ten years and died at age 23.   Her faith and determination to continue her education despite the constant debilitating seizures inspired family, friends and others who came in her contact. Many people learned from her how to handle life’s difficulties and even how to approach the end of life with grace, dignity, hope, faith and love.  The student who receives this award must be one who is graduating from high school even though she/he has had to face disability, injury, disease, or other health challenges.
